Nathaniel Solberg is a local, Missoula born, Film Professor who specializes in genre studies and film history. He recently graduated from the University of Montana with an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Film Studies and Literature. Nathaniel has been a long-time attendee of The Roxy Theater and has helped teach courses through UM here at the theater. Some of his main focuses in film are Science Fiction and Horror genres, which were both genre courses he taught at the University of Montana in the past. When he isn’t enjoying a new movie at The Roxy, you may find him skiing the slopes of local ski hill Montana Snowbowl, swinging his golf clubs at the course, or reading the next sci-fi novel out in the forest. Nathaniel is also the manager of locally owned ski shop Gull Ski and Snowboard for the past decade. A favorite film of his (which is hard to pick) is usually John Carpenters “The Thing”, a true cinematic masterpiece. See you at the movies!
